  • The current system of immigration is simply not sustainable. Poor economic opportunity makes this even more blatantly true.

  • By flooding the market with cheap illegal labor this only exasperates the problem, and makes it easier for unscrupulous employers to take advantage of the immigrants here. Stop the illegal immigration first secure the borders then lets talk about changing the quota system.

  • you are right on.

  • yes yes, i asked what promise please??????

tell me these promises you're referring to?????

  • I want the government to keep its promise it made to the U.S. citizens.

  • what promise? i never promised any government affiliate anything.

  • No, I am saying "keep your promise" to the government. They gave out amnesty with the promise of no more amnesty that they would enforce the law! It is high time that they enforced the law no more amnesty!

  • you are suggesting "do exactly as the government says." i don't believe it is the constitutional right of the government give orders to its people. That's opposite the definition of the principle of Liberty. No country can shed its faults in a single night, nor will they consider doing so for the benefit of one man. America is the nation where people can achieve that which is good w/o restraint, but you want to bar people based on some sort of "practical" quota w/o the right to do so?

  • These rights were fought for,by us. Paid for with the blood of our ancestors and brothers, sisters, cousins and friends. If they want those same rights in their countries, they, are going to have to deal with that in their own countries themselves. If they want the privilege of becoming a U.S. Citizen do it right or stay home.

  • to say there is no right to immigrate to the united states is to say no other citizen of the globe has property rights in some random standard of vicinity unless given your express permission. Wheres the unalienable rights in that? Are they only approved by vote? I think i heard somewhere that this country was originally intended as a republic? A nation of laws and not men, nor their ideals, desires, or whims. Thats what the "transient causes" refers to. Justice is objective.
