  • I wish this guy would have just stuck to his strengths and become a professional story book reader.

  • @HeiligesReich2 This is bullshit...Italy was faithful to Germany, but Nazis decided to invade Ussr, Mussolini knew it would have been a stupid move, and Italy could not have continued the war with that hard situation. We tried to be loyal, but you did nothing to keep it. And remember, that stupid war was wanted by the government, the people did not want it, my grandparents were forced into a war. Italy was the best back then, today I only dream to be out of all the alliances, history taught us.

  • Is there any doubt FDR is the greatest president of all time?? All due respect to Lincoln and what he did for not only African Americans but the country. But the Depression AND WWII?? That's hard to beat in my opinion.

  • defeat the Soviets within the span of a few months or else Russian industrial advantage, supremacy in manpower, the harsh weather and stretched supply lines would do them in in the East. Perhaps the Axis Powers could have won, but it would have been a longshot. Their policies alienated too many potential allies. For example, Nazi racial beliefs precluded them from pandering to Ukrainian nationalism and gaining that country has a co-belligerent. Ukrainians instead became Russian cannon fodder.

  • It was a forgone conclusion that Japan and Germany would lose the Second World War after 1942, the "year of struggle and peril." Everything after that were mere spasms of violence from doomed nations. In order for the Axis Powers to have been successful and victorious, it required swift, decisive action in their respective theatres of conflict. The Japanese had to destroy the American Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor and Midway or else U.S. industrial power would seal their fate. And Germany had to

Hitler sure was fighting too much enemies at once. But most of those 33 nations you mentioned were actually defeated. However, it is widely known that sooner or later, the Germans would have to fight the Russians. In fact, 80% of German forces during the war was spent fighting the endless waves of Russian soldiers. The original Barborossa plan was to blitzkrieg Russia fast enough that it would not become a war of attrition that Germany would definitely lose.

  • @sandrodream1

By the way, did you know that without Italy, the Germans wouldn't have to invade Greece and delay Operation Barbarossa and might actually defeat the U.S.S.R before winter?

  • @sandrodream1

So was Germany , Japan, Romania, Hungary, Finland, Bulgaria, Thailand and Manchukuo.

For your information, the French fought for an entire month in their soil before signing an armistice, and furthermore, they continued resisting in form of the French resistance. Italy on the other hand, defected to the allies right after they heard the allies are planning to invade the mainland.
