Leeds City TV is a commercial television stations designed specifically to appeal to local residents of large and mid-sized conurbations. Its programming will focus primarily on what is happening in the locality it serves with its offering of news and current affairs, traffic, weather, local sport and entertainment programming.

At the heart of Leeds TV's mission is putting viewers first.

Audience participation on Leeds TV shows and at special events is crucial to Leeds TV's commercial success. Engaging viewers in front of -- and behind -- the cameras will make Leeds TV a must-see. Leeds TV is setting up an Ambassadors Group and a Citizens Panel to ensure that programming resonates with audiences.

On election day itself, we went across the city to catch up with voters and find out what they had to say. Reporting live from Alwoodley after visiting polling stations in Adel, Little London, Headingley and the city centre, we provided the first indication of the results that would be counted the following morning.
