You know that if Jackie Evancho did not win, the thing was rigged right. Right! Okay we agree on that, so AGT is a fluke that is decided by cheaters. OMG you say, but it is not so bad, because the voice of an angel rings clearly out of the smoke and mirrors of the online vote. And America and people understand the real deal when they hear it.

This is one of the best videos I saw in a long time.

Well, thanks for this... It is pretty obvious you are correct. But listen, when it all shakes out, talents such as Jackie Evancho shouldn't have gone to Vegas. Simply, it would have been a waste of her time. It could have even damaged her. And I am glad she didn't win on that account. Then again, this wasn't your point. I also agree we should know when what we say or do is being controlled.
Thank you for taking the time to write this.

The same thing will happen in 2011 on AGT. Anna Grace will be the next RUNNER-UP and some screacher or lounge lissard will get the $mil. The producers plan it this way to keep the hype going - and we will tune in and be angry at the results. -----Has any noticed where Jackie Evancho is today ? - - No credit to dishonest practiceses of AGT.

It's most likely that the producers decide who wins. Everyone thought Jackie A. was going to win, so the producers decided to throw in a twist and have Michel G. win instead.

This shows that someone in the upper office makes the decisions. The public has no vote. Only the phone company wins. But lets face it --- Did we realy want Jackie to go to Vegas? Michael's sad story got him $200K minus taxes a year for 5 years, to build his folks a house. He also got a rock to crawl under in SinCity. Jackie won a Billion hearts accros the nation and Billions around the world. Those fans buy CDs and attend concerts to hear the voice of an Angel.

@lpperrone Read between the lines folks. The winner of AGT gets a specific set of prizes in exchange for a set of obligations. What happens when the fair market value of an act exceeds the value of the prizes? In such a case, finishing second is the best case scenario because you get the same exposure as the winner, with many fewer obligations. The order of finish served both artists well. Grimm needed a job. Jackie got a career

After this little episode with Jackie Evancho not winning, and she definitely should have won, I simply decided never to watch AGTagain. NO integrity.

An aside note. You speak well, are articulate and have a very "newsman" face and voice. Having said that, will you please sit in front of a better back ground? The dresser and black shoe like thing on top? The top of an insignia that kept popping up on your shirt was distracting and so was your eye glass adjustments. I'm just kidding. Sorta. Your commentary on AGT was one of the best I've seen.
Will post again.
The vote stuffing argument could be more obvious if AGT was willing to publish final votes counted, and perhaps breakdown by method tallied.

@danekjovax "vote stuffing" is NOT a debatable issue. We KNOW it happens and it happens a LOT on all these shows.

@Cosmosity Yes, it isn't an issue to me, though I still would like to see AGT have the cajones to publish the vote count. Given that they do not indicates to me that AGT has the final say, regardless of any phony count. Seems that AGT emulates reality in that respect.

@danekjovax I emailed NBC a couple days ago, asking for voting stats but I'll be very surprised if they give me any information. I would love to just know what the phone totals were. I would bet the ranch that they came up different than the overall totals.
