You know what?
Korean judges think an accurate pronunciation of Korean is most important on a valuation basis when participants are singing.
Also they hope you to understand Korean because of broadcasting.
If participants can speak Korean, broadcasters can make many episodes for ratings in Korea.
So! The first you need to have a musical talent. the second You must make sure your pronunciation of Korean in singing.
