fair play on getting the video and great commentary - amazing how quickly the firemen got it under control once they got there. Hope Francos and simply thai are OK.

those firemen did an excellent job..those moronic hoodies who throw bricks at fire engines need to take note.

That was a quick knock down. I'm always surprised at how some fires look uncontrollable but are knocked out in about a minute and others look rather mild and take seemingly forever to knock out.

avon somerset fire brigade are the absolute best.

I was the first person on the scene and the first one to call the fire brigade. It started as literally a little bit of smoke and within 30 seconds it was an inferno. I tried stopping traffic, but was overcome by the fumes (and overcome by the stupidity of drivers who ignored me!) Scary. Just glad everyone got out ok. Fire brigade did an excellent job, but they took an age to get there - i suspect because of the moronic drivers who wouldn't stop and ended up blocking glos road.

Am I the only one more concerned about what shoes she did decide to wear???

@FTWConnor well I'll tell 'who the fuck' I am..I'm a law abiding citizen who's against criminality and vandalism...you got a problem with that?

Me and my mum were walking down through the little ally about to go to bubalu when we saw it :L lots of people were standing really close filming which was a bit dangerous! My mum called the fire brigade as well and then we heard loads of big bangs(explosions) so we ran away. It was quite a scary experince actually:L (btw this was just before your footage). Do you by any chance know what caused it?Thankyou very good footage as well:D

@Katacholic Yeah it was a bit worrying being so close to it. I've no idea what started it as it was already up in flames by the time I saw it. I'd be interested to know if 5tonyperry's wife knows how it happened.

@MajorTomG Hi I am Tony's wife, I had only been in the shop for about 10 mins i was up stairs when i got told to get out the shop had no idea why until I got down stairs, the flames were all over the left side of the shop and up over the ceiling. I have no idea how it started. Never been so scared in all my life, everyone that was in the shop got out. I called the fire brigade soon as I got out then all I wanted to do was run. What a crazy day still feel shaken up.

@5tonyperry thanks very much for replying. I'm not surprised you're still shaken! That must have been as scary as anything. It's great to hear that everyone got out of there unhurt and I'm sure Simply Thai and Franco's are very grateful that you managed to keep it together and call the fire department so quickly. Again, thanks for sharing and I'm very glad to hear that you are all OK.

@5tonyperry I had no idea people were in there when it started! Glad to hear your wife got out all right. Does she have any idea what caused it or how many people were in there when it went up? I didn't see any ambulances at the scene so I assume everyone was OK.
