On the heels of President Obama calling for creation of a national travel and tourism strategy, he used his radio address over the weekend to further highlight the importance of travel and attracting more visitors to our country. This visibility for our industry's role in America's economic prosperity is a huge opportunity, and we are already in contact with Administration and Congressional leaders to assist in developing the travel and tourism plan.
President Obama tells the American people about a series of steps he's taken without the help of Congress to grow the economy and create jobs -- including a new strategy aimed at boosting tourism introduced this week. In next week's State of the Union Address, the President will outline his blueprint for creating an economy built to last.
