Just finished the box and wanted to hear it. Its tuned to around 26Hz. I think it's too low so I'll be adding more fiberglass resin to make 45's in the corners. Destroys any rap beat but I think it will sound much better when it's tuned around 29Hz. It lacks the punch in rock songs. It's running off a Rockford 1500.1 Power series. Sub up and aero port facing trunk lid. This car has expanding foam in all the metal cavities and deadener EVERYWHERE. Bass so low camera microphone can't even pick it up. Only speakers playing are in the ceiling, tiny little 3.5". Back doors almost done, back deck under construction. 35 speakers and 17 T.Vs.in total. Siiiiickkkkkkk.

  • I'm wanting to buy one 15" fi q sub for 2004 explorer but what's the rms and max watts for the sub. I have a friend who has 2 12" kicker l7 subs with a zx1500.1 would this sub be louder? Plz reply thanks!

  • @mervie17 The RMS is around 1800 fully loaded. His will be louder because he has more cone area.

  • try tuning to 33 hz and you'll hear a huge difference

  • @spencerearl1996 Yea def. going to tune around 30HZ. I just wanted to tune low because I plan on putting two 10" sealed up behind the driver's seat and they would take care of the rest of the frequencies

  • @cz3chmonkey it's not a good idea to mix different subs i think you should do higher than 30 hz more like 32-35 would be great because fi subs can usually maintain pretty well when they hit notes below the tuning frequency but for that particular i'd tune to 32 hz with about 16-18 sq inches of port area per cubic ft and 4-4.5 cubic ft net volume and then you should hit the lows even better than with it tuned to 26 hz

  • @spencerearl1996 Can you elaborate? Do you think there will be cancellation issues with more subs or time delay?

  • dont worry about mixing subs for anyone who read that you just have to have one box tuned super high and one low... search frankenstein 2 15's and 2 18's in a jeep i think its insane

  • @cz3chmonkey Well there won't be cancellation depending on where you are wanting to put the 10's. Like say for instance you want to put them right next to the 15 then there would be huge cancellation issues but say you want to put it about 4-6 ft away from the 15 the you could do that and not have to worry about cancellation to much. I think you would be better off getting some nice cheap little 8's to put behind the drives seat and that would cover the punchy bass that you're looking for

  • @MrTriggz13 Ford focus

  • what kind of car is this? looks tight
