From their debut album in 1971, 'St. Radigunds' Lyrics in video collage.Great vocals from Barbara, following Julian's violin intro.
Martin Cockerham and Mark Francis originally formed Spirogyra as a duo in Bolton in 1967. Martin went to University in Canterbury in 1969 and expanded the band to include fellow students Barbara Gaskin (vocals), Steve Borrill (bass), and Julian Cusack (violin).Guest musicians: Dave Mattacks / drums and Tony Cox / VCS 3 and Bill Bruford / drums.
Never heard this song before; i think it's beautful and violin makes it very special. Thanks for sharing :)

One of my favourites of Spirogyra, incredible!!!
But it's kind of dishonor to "change" the lyrics: ;-)
.
..You suffer, you cry, you labour, you die...
(you just swapped die & cry)

Oh yes ... I have seen now. Thank you, tagaloa, for pointing that out. Much appreciated. Indeed thank you for watching the video as well as listening to the wonderful song. So many videos I find are just 3 mins of looking at the album sleeve ... just quick uploads of the songs. I spend several hours making each video as my tribute and love for the song. It's rare for me to include lyrics, and I've certainly tripped myself up here. :( Sorry, Spirogyra, please forgive.
