  • @ollieacappella Well said!  Chopin said many times that his goal at the piano was to make it sing like the human voice

  • not structured as well as his later sonatas...but like I can do any better??? Barenboim plays how Beethoven would have probably played it, it is an honor to hear him play.

  • @Prestothemusic It seems that these "musicians" (or pedants, rather) look for any opportunity to demonstrate their superior knowledge! For me, if the melody feels like it is singing, it may be called a song.

    Haha we people in Hong Kong also get the Chinese version of these two terms mixed up so often.

    So we sing a song and play a piece ^_^
