@frenchiecocorico1 hi frenchie, actually I don't to many sources about it. I just use it as the luth players did with the lute. I play a lot of polyphonie and it's useful to have an extra course. Somewhere I read that Guerrero played the 7 courses vihuela, but I haven't contrasted. Best regards

7 Course Vihuela! wow, are they quite rare? Is the 7th course an F or a D?

@MatthewLeighEmbleton Today we are used in just playing a 6 course vihuela tuned in g. But the fact is that existed a juge amount of diferent kind of instrumets of the same falmily.
I tuned in F, it sounds better than in D
