Very nice, I just love old bayonets and knives.

tak, ok, jeg troede vi lavede vores egne bajoneter :(
og viste ikke at man lavede 3 huller? men tak for informationen ;)

ok thank you but whatever happend with Madson? why did they stop? how come the Danish Military is not Danish anymore? I really get sad thinking about it.
-
Nope, The Danish army bought them in the United States and imported them to Denmark... (We gradually stopped making our own weapons after WWII) And where to buy such things? I get my things from other collectors, from old people etc... But it is important to have the proper permits!!! Don't ever forget that in order to buy such a knife / bayonet you have to have a Blankvåben tilladelse!!! (A knife / sword permit)
-
where do you buy things like that? and is it made in Denmark?

Tillykke med din No. 4 Bayonet ;)
this is not the m1905e1. its the m1. the 1905e1 bayonets were originaly 16" and were cut down to 10". you can tell yours wasnt cut because the blood grooves on the blade start 3 inches after the point. on the 1905 they start at the point(because it was cut).

@stapleton23 Well. You might actually be right about this. Thank for the heads up! I am about to do a video solely on this bayonet. All help is appreciated. I mainly do it in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and British equipment. US equipment is not really my main interest.
