About 1:30 AM we saw six orange lights in the sky moving about and they were roughly above the city of Ottawa. They moved around and slowly disappeared one by one. At the end only one remained. Sorry I was holding the video camera freehand. Most likely fire balloons but rather spooky at the time. Was it a UFO or fire balloons?

  • dude! its like they come every yr at the same time, they have been spotted all over the world. I see one just after midnight on new years eve this yr

  • I figure people send off these lights during times of festivities. I was thinking of launching some chinese lanterns as well after returning from a NYE party but my wife was too tired and wanted to go home. They do look spooky.

  • I saw the same thing except at 12:45am. 5 or 6 Bright red lights blinking in and out of sight, then one by one they moved up and disappeared. Then a few minutes later 3 more appeared and did the same thing. Really strange.

  • Interesting. Where did you see them?

  • BTW I saw these in Aylmer between 12:30am and 12:45am Seriously i know what i saw and that shit aint nothing human made. Crazy stuff.

  • To me they were from this earth. They were not moving that fast (like typical UFOs - if there is such a thing). Since it was new year's day, I'm pretty sure they were sky lanterns (or UFO balloons) someone launched. The coincidence is too big. Anyways, keep looking up in the sky and keep a camera handy and expect some more during the Chinese new year.

  • I saw an orange orb last night, July 1, 2011. This happened in Aylmer, Quebec, Canada at aproximately 10:25pm. It was moving across the sky then stoped and didn't move for about 1-2min then shot straight up into the sky and disapeared past the stars which only took about 1 min to do. Weirdest thing I ever saw. This was not a chinese lantern and I don't believe it was a hologram. This was very close and I got a good look.
