Only offensive about this is your putrid moral and stupidity. You are just another religious nut job trying to excuse the atrocities in your books.

I sincerely can't wait until you fairytale, superstitious, little kids drop off the face of this planet. When you were a child, your parents scared you, so convincingly, into believing this nonsense that you now grow up into adulthood and can't distinguish fact from fantasy? How do you live knowing that you are such a fucking moron? I bet you are afraid to sleep in total darkness as well ey? I bet you need the tv on or some night lite because you fear ghosts and boogymen too. Die off already!!!!

bberchin,
After calming down a bit I have to say that it was an interesting series.
Thank you.
I still believe it is a myth, written by men who (at best) wanted to make others as good as they wanted to be.
I hope that one day you'll be man enough to be an Atheist.
Best wishes
X

"Those faithful to God will in time be predominant in the world and the rebels will simply be forced to submit to godly government. Christians should not shrink from but rather rejoice in the promise that they will enslave the wicked."
Interesting. Sounds post-millennial, though It seems that it would also be true according to pre-millennialism. Seems like it would rule out amillennialism, though. Any thoughts? Do you know what Dr. Jordan's eschatology is?
Anyway, I appreciate these videos.

i didnt say we dont need God. I say we dont need the bible to understand many many things like slavery is bad. I do notice that christian quite often refer to the bible as they refer to god, Like the two are the same. Probably due to the words 'Word of God', which the bible uses to refer to Jesus and not the scriptures (OT). Oh well.
Anyway, point is we learn from the real world no need to be stuck in the past. And if god is real, wouldn't he more interested in the living and not the dead?

LOL. I have good understanding of christian scriptures. besides we dont need to posses any understanding of them in order to discover that slavery is terrible.
me saying the God of the bible in those passages supportive of a 'nicey nice' slavery is wrong, while we are correct is no less arrogant than you saying its good we no longer practice this kind of slavery. :)
ummm, the bible God supports the slavery which we as human beings have seen as dehumazing and terrible (for the slaves and the masters), and have outlawed. It has worked out well. We are right and the God of the bible is wrong. unless he wants us to live in shitsville?
Howdy bb. You are sincerely trying I see. Of course your whole premises is that the bible entirely is to be considered divinely inspired. which is why you need to make every effort to make it 'fit'

"We are right and the God of the bible is wrong."- That is probably the most arrogant thing you've ever said. This is not about making something 'fit' because of a compulsion to defend the imperfect. This is about defending the truth against those who don't want it to fit and explain it away. I've never seen an unbeliever who is concerned with hermeneutics in order to gain an accurate understanding of scripture- it seems you are no different.

And I can assure you, I have said a lot more arrogant things than that in my life. lol i am sure you will agree

"we dont need to posses any understanding of them in order to discover that slavery is terrible."- You see, this is the kind of ignorance I'm trying to speak to in this series. Your contempt for the Bible overshadows any good judgement you could have in discerning proper meaning.

You misunderstand what i meant. We dont need the bible to see that slavery is no good. The same as we dont need the bible to see that we dont want murder. thats not to say that the bible isn't an important part of our history etc has lots of good things in there to learn from. Of course we can learn better from other sources, even modern christian sources.

We need God to know what is good and modern Christian resources which are not based on the Bible are useless.
