Hi guys! I'm Dana Ward at our Beverly Hills studio with the info all about the recent Miss USA pageant.

The drama isn't about the swimsuit competition. The gossip isn't about a contestant eating-it on stage. And the drama isn't even about Miss North Carolina taking home the coveted crown. At this year's Miss USA pageant, the talk of the town is about the Q and A session between a judge and the soon-to-be runner-up. Online gossip monger Perez Hilton asked Miss California if all states should follow Vermont's recent ruling to legalize gay marriage. The part of contestant Carrie Prejean's answer that started the internet blogging frenzy was her belief that marriage should only be between a man and a woman.

The live NBC show-airing proved some audience members supported the 21-year-old's answer, and then the camera cut-away from Perez Hilton shaking his head in disagreement. More specific to the online saga post-show, the YouTube video of the segment got more than 1-million hits within a day and it was the second most-searched term on Twitter.

Of course, Perez Hilton did voice his disappointment with Prejean's response - in a very Perez sort of way - and he also did an interview on Larry King Live. Amidst the Perez name calling and then apology, bloggers on both sides of the spectrum were sure to post their opinions.

She does have the freedom of speech she has a oopinion and thats why they ask those questions in pageants. I think a realationship should be thru a man and women but everyone deserves to be happy and that means gays too. Its okay to be gay but im honestly torn between the question.
