From the well respected " Hijra " group of 5th century India to the transsexuals of China's Warring States period two thousand years ago, throughout time there have always been people who felt the need to change their sex. Whether or not it violates preconceived notions of what is 'natural', in a human society already so far from nature, biologists have shown us that gender is a multifaceted thing. Yet sexual minorities now are constantly shunned by mainstream society. However, from celebrated dancer Jin Xing to Chen Lili, who took part in an international beauty pageant, those who choose to change their sex have only found themselves to be more perfect. Our guest this episode is Meng Nuo, who feels he is a woman trapped in a man's body. Here is an opportunity to learn what that feels like.
And I wondered if people would be okay with that and if it would be safe to life in China being who I am.

This is very interesting. I have watched alot of your videos and I am glad you post such informative videos about LGBT people in China. I am learning Chinese and I want to teach English in China and be a translator. But I worry will I be able to live openly and be myself in China. But it seems there are alot of friendly understanding people even if many people still do not understand it. I am transgender but am not changing my body and I like boys, so I am kind of in between on the spectrum
