even though you cant here John's mic, its pretty cool to hear Paul's part, its pretty nice

It's because they are playing in 1/2 step down tuning. Not in standard tuning like on the record. That's why it sounds different. They seemed to have done that alot when they played live now that I've watched alot of their old video clips on You Tube the last few years now, I guess because it makes it less strenuous on the vocal cords to sing.
