  • @tsartodd Who said the Muppet Show was a "kiddie show" in the first place? Henson created that show BECAUSE he hated being typecast as a children's entertainer with Sesame Street and wanted to appeal to an adult audience.

  • wow, things have gotten really dumbed down since the ealry 1980s. could you imagine a kiddie's show doing a parody of Ingmar Bergman, or any other high-falutin' director?!?

  • Lol "Du Ende"

  • I shudder to think what would happen if Sam joined the other Muppets if they ended up as guest stars on Monday Night Raw.

  • @Kryptoburn257 "...Wocka, wocka, wocka...."

  • @AdamYJ True.

Sometimes, I can't help but think that Kermit, Fozzie, Beaker and the Swedish Chef secretly sabotaged Sam's efforts to inject "culture" into the show here by stopping the right Bergman film from being sent to them and doing a different one, just for the sake of making Sam look foolish once again. Or something like that. :D

  • @disneynut06 He kind of deserves it, though. Especially when you consider that he barely understands half this "culture" stuff he preaches about anyway.

  • This is hillarious! Just to see Beaker as the Angel of Death is a riot!

Yet it gets even funnier when Fozzie shows up and tells a joke in "Swedish"

  • Actually, it's "What do you get when you add sugar to hamburger? Sweet-ish meatballs".

  • "But I am not ready to die!"

"Ah, well, if you do not wish death, how about a rubber chicken?"

This made me laugh so hard, tears poured from my eyes. I had to pause the video for three or four minutes so I could stop laughing and watch the rest.
