my best score on gears 3 is 32-1 it is really easy to get your kd ratio high espicially if ur a gears veteran like me best shooter of the year beats mw3 and bf3 by far

i have a 1.2 kill death ratio . . . does that mean i suck ? im not a pro gamer (MLG) i just enjoy gears of war simply because its a lot more challenging than C.O.D .

you will prob disargree but kill death ratio is one of the most inportant cuz if it good you are a team player cuz you kill mor than you die which helps in wingman exercution teamdeath if you camp for kill death thoe you are a noob

Yeah I'm with PAVI101 the stats for me are a bonus if you're good & hindrance if you're not.I personally couldn't give a shit coz it leads to the kill steal madness some have on gears,although EPIC have sort of made a point of this by giving very little (worthless) amount of Xp for the kill steal now. People out there will obsess with it tho just like in the COD games where you're playing with people in teamgames who themselves couldn't give a shit about winning but how many kills they've got.

Lots of good points there. I personally find K/D ratio and its perceived importance to be one of the worse things to have entered multiplayer gaming in a long time. And sadly the stigma sticks, i look at my K/D and if it sucks it annoys me. Really tho id rather win a match whether i get pounded going for that quick leader capture or circle break in KOTH, thats better to me then dying less for K/D. More exciting a game that way too

I think you have a point; from playing GoW2 almost daily, I'd say maybe 3 out of 7 or 42% of ppl playing gears are K/D conscious. Honestly I do care about mine but only to the degree that I'm not negative/hurting the team. I'm content with a 1.0 K/D because to me that says I'm holding my own, but I don't let K/D effect my play in objective game-types. It's also common for me to tell me teammates "kill'em" after downing someone, my main concern is the 'W'.

Hold on, i play online without a mic and i do prety good wit my team (random people in public) not everyone without a mic is a non-trying loser who is jus playing. Like some else said in the comment list, some just dont hav mics and im one of them

Iv been a day one gears player and have never ever cared about stats. In all honesty if you have a 2.0 k/d and another guy has a 2.4 k/d ratio do you honestly believe that makes him a better player than you when you consider power weapons camping, general camping, quitting, bot kills, defencive style of play, team v randoms, kill stealing, those who are unwilling to sacrifice themself for a few more seconds of annex or to try and revive a player and more. stats mean nothing to me.

totally agree with your commentary and appreciate the time you put into it. I don't mind the stats card but i do feel that W/L should be featured more and have more weight than a K/D stat. Gears is a team game and not enough ppl play that way, featuring a K/D stat as the biggest will only keep it that way.
