In this video, I add 1 LB of European Nightcrawlers to a 37 gallon plastic storage container. I used peat and manure as the bedding.

  • I would use either peat moss or newspaper. The reason to use these is because they can retain moisture. I prefer peat because the newspaper doesn't always get completely consumed, although is it a lot easier and faster to make a bin with newspaper. A handful of topsoil is all you need for "grit".

  • Can I use peat moss, newspaper and top soil to make bedding for European night crawlers? My first time at this so I will take any advice I can get! Thanks.
