重相逢 originally recorded by 美黛 in her 1962 album "意難忘/重相逢" album. This song originally comes from the Japanese song "アリラン·ブルース" released in 1940 by 高峰三枝子, composed by 服部良一, who also composed many famous songs including: 蘇州夜曲 & 夜來香 (李香蘭), 寒雨曲 (潘秀瓊), 說不出的快活 (葛蘭) and 花兒頭上插 (蓓蕾). The Japanese song was then had Mandarin lyrics added to it by 慎芝. In 1962, 重相逢 was also recorded by 崔萍 (and like 意難忘, 崔萍 introduced the song to Hong Kong, while 美黛 introduced her song in Taiwan). In the 1969 movie "負心的人" starring 湯蘭花, she also recorded "重相逢" in the movie album as one of the sub - themes (插曲).
