I'm in the wind ensemble at my high school, and we're going to competition with this piece. I play the flute in the wind ensemble but it sounds SO much better just brass and percussion!
The conductor is anthony parnther. They are affiliated with symphonies all over the east coast. When they perform, they perform at Science Hill High School. They are now called the Appalachian Brass Orchestra.
I'm so, so sorry for the cuts. Judging by the second theme, I think you really had it.

It sounds empty to me. But maybe that's just because I'm used to hearing it played by a full ensemble.

Tell me more about the Tennessee Brass, please. Who is the conductor? Who are the principals? What University are they affiliated with?
Please excuse my ignorance, but I'm intrigued. I'm not sure I'd go 5 starts, but this is a very competent performance of wonderful music.
