For the 80s power/hair metalheads, this is from an ad that was played on local Houston radio station KLOL in June (I think), 1986, announcing King Kobra, playing at the legendary (Modern English also played there?!) , yet terrible club Cardi's (concerts would literally start one or two HOURS after they claimed they would). It never occurred to me until just recently I should put this up. The sound quality isn't the greatest, but you can still hear everything, at least.
Formed by legendary drummer Carmine Appice (who played in/with Blue Murder, Vanilla Fudge, Ozzy Osbourne and Rod Stewart, among tons of others), and even though Capitol Records put up a lot of money for them in the beginning, other things they didn't promote well, as you'd think a band that toured with Kiss and Ted Nugent and got a song on the Iron Eagle 2 movie soundtrack would do fairly well. But King Kobra pretty much remained underground, only coming out with three albums before breaking up. They re-emerged in 1999 with The Lost Years cd , then Hollywood Trash after that, but it was poorly reviewed. At least original singer Mark Free has been hailed as to being one of the top metal vocalists of all time in some surveys on VH-1 and all though, so they made somewhat of a mark on the metal underground.
Also, Running Wild, Celtic Frost and Voivod were announced as well on the ad (as well as several others); I'm sure that was a good show, as I got into the latter two bands a few years later!
And finally, if anyone else attended this concert in Houston, 1986, does anyone know who in tarnation opened up for them?! Some other bleach-blonde, power metal band opened up (think they played "Smoke on the Water"), which I never knew their name, and have always been curious about.

@grathapilot Too bad you're overseas, or I'd see about selling it to you in case you were interested (I never was much into cartoon nudity, but since it was the only design they had I didn't have much choice. Another thing to annoy the mum with in high school though!). Because even the internet can't really help, since my Paypal account is screwed up right now, I think Western Union will take a big chunk out of it, and I don't even know where on earth I'd cash an international money order at.

@grathapilot--concluding: Granted I could probably cash the latter at a bank but I don't even have a bank account right now, so it's probably not worth the trouble.
Well, cheers anyway, and stay metal!
