Here's another slice of the old VEGAS pie. This time, it's a small collection of KDWN ID jingles with a side shout-out at the station's now former home, UNION PLAZA in Downtown Las Vegas, NV.

  • Ha! This brings back childhood memories! I remember the "Live it Up" Union Plaza commercials on KDWN, too! Dad woke up to K-Dawn every morning. I had my radio set on 1230 KLAV. They played all the new music. The Christmas picture at 2:03 is great! Thanks for the memories!

  • Back in the early 80's, I used to listen to Dodgers games and "The Stardust Line", a sports gaming show hosted by Lee Peete, on my transister radio when I lived in Sacramento. Great childhood memories!

  • #1 Main Street is coming back as the Union Plaza

  • I have hundreds of hours of "PART TIME PETE " Pete Moss recorded. Anyone want them?

  • Really? I always liked it then and now. there was and is an old Vegas glamor about the place that isn't often seen anymore.

I'll miss the hell out of the place if they implode it.

  • I hear they're a FOX Radio station now a days...what a shame, heard them when I was out there in '96...caught the Dodgers games and Art Bell off of the big 720.

  • I am a 1984 Graduate of Pahrump Valley High School, and this video sort of made me a little homesick...

To "Roadsidepictures"....your mentioning the "Live it up" commercial caused me to start singing it!!!!

  • ...oh, and there's nothing "beautiful" about the Union Plaza! I used to go there for haircuts in 1979 (I was 8 years old)...I hated the place.
