  • Seriously, if you really believe that they've "sold out" then you probably need a lesson on how the real world actually works. Artists, no matter how esoteric, don't want to live their lives like paupers. It's easy for someone outside of that mindset to talk about "keeping it real", but if you want to make enough money to support yourself, you need to have a marketable product. Plus seeing as the rest of their album is classic DEP style, the sellout accusation has even less validity.

  • @peanutbuttercrunc100 this. im not afraid to admit that i prefer their stuff like this, milk lizard, setting fire...

theres only so much grind you can stand before you get bored.

  • @ldorio

I agree with you, and on top of that; artists like to expirement with new things.

Some people see that as selling out, but some vocalists just like to sing now and then, some drummers like to take it easy on 1 song, and go all out on the rest.

it's actually quite normal, and if they can also make more money with it, I see no reason why bands shouldn't do it.

  • what an awesome song for DEP. shit is so tripped out.

  • cool video, original sounding song. i like it

  • Its only bands like THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and EARTH CULTURE that know how to kick ass!!!!

  • @clackstaaan agreed. Granted...Calculating Infinity was a superb fucking album...but imagine if they repeated that same mathcore sound with EVERY record. Seriously, it would get old after awhile. At least their new stuff incorporates that with a more dignified sound, as opposed to chaotic. Which like I said, Calculating Infinity was a badass album. But its also an album a band like them needs to evolve from. I am a fan of mathcore but not when its overdone. Thankfully they never went that route.

  • I really like this song i mean i like there other stuff its great but i wish they would mix it up more and do like half this and half there other stuff because there really talented and most people don't see that

  • @slumberingsam cant listen to shattering metal 24/7 their mellower tracks are musically brilliant. if you dont like it go wank over the locust or something.

  • @slumberingsam, then you never were a fan to begin with. you are just upset that they dont have the same sound they used to...they have evolved. trust me on this...this band is not going to cry over losing a dumbass fairweather fan like yourself. you don't understand the sound of evolution...thats not the bands problem, thats yours. DEP have evolved, and so should you. Until then, stop making comments about things you dont understand.
