@iammadea2 Well I decided to keep my ball inflated at what was a comfortable level for me. I just abandoned using the black measuring tape as a guide because it seemed like if I kept inflating it, it would just burst. So my advice for you is to inflate it enough so that its comfortable yet sturdy enough for you to work out with. Hope that helps :)

@MzD718 nothing to feel embarrassed about, I just purchased this ball just a few days ago and I've come to the same dilemma, I too am very concerned about the slack that the black band has as well, I concerned because the ball reads on the box that is 65cm but it looks to be smaller, it's been sometime since your post but how did you resolve your problem? I'm afraid to pump more air into it for fear it may burst, I hate ballons for just this reason. let me know would you. thanx

Could someone help me out. I know it seems like such an elementary question and I actually feel a little embarrassed.

I just received my Altus Body Ball yesterday and I am a complete beginner.
So please pardon my ignorance but how will i know if my Body Ball is correctly inflated?
I don't want it to be under-inflated so that it will be ineffective when I work out with it. And I don't want to over-inflate it and run the risk of it bursting or damaging it.
Right now mine is inflated where it seems right but the black measuring tape has A LOT of extra room which leads me to believe it is under-inflated.
