you guys obviously don't realize that the electric car dream is a HUGE HOAX. It costs energy to produce those batteries. And how do you produce that energy, do you think? With OIL, CHARCOAL, NUCLEAR power. The electric car is simply a displacement of pollution. Instead of polluting everywhere in our cities, we will pollute just as much in the industrial centers where the power plants are going to be located. The REAL solution is a tenfold efficiency of the traditional engine.

This one's $50,000. Not cheap, but less expensive than the Roadster. And still pretty sporty.
Right now, electric cars aren't aimed towards the masses. Once enough electric cars are bought, prices will come down.
