I spent the first half of 2010 in hospital (a total of 187 Days) being treated in a quarantined room with a rare case of Multi-Drug-Resistant TB. I created many videos from within hospital, learning how to edit, film, and write music along the way, and did my best to raise some money to help immunise children in the third world against illnesses like mine. Check my Youtube Channel for all of those other videos.

This video is filmed on July the 24th, and is a submission for the Life in a Day project. It shows my life in Sydney, Australia, on this particular day, and explains what I love and fear at this particular moment in my life. It is almost 1 month since I got out of hospital, and my life has changed since going through the experience of dealing with a terminal illness, and beating it.

Here is what happened on my July 24th:

- We were pulled over by police and a friend might've lost his license
- I had my first go at being a back-up dancer in a comedy music film clip for my mate Eric Grothe Jr!
- I went and had a coffee at a little local coffee shop in Newtown
- I noticed a little girl crying and her father assisting her through it
- I spent time at the beach pondering life, and writing the words in this video
- I went to Gunnamatta bay to catch the sunset, and dance in it
- I went out with friends to the local RSL and saw a movie

This is my real life. I am so happy to be living it, and living it here in Sydney.

  • your a beast mang

  • @1:08 , "Chuck Norris" haha, Anyways man, I was in quarantine in Japan in 2009 when I was 12 and although I wasn't in it for no where as long as you, I was only in there for about a week and a bit (then my mum got the Australian embassy to argue with the hospital to get me out, I had Swine Flu but it wasn't that bad at all) but still I know what you mean about when you get out, the world seems SO much better then it did before and you realize how much you take it for granted. Ps. I'm Aussie too!

  • If you listen closely you can hear all of the panties in the world hitting the floor at the same time

  • I know what you mean about feeling like an empty shell under the effects of medication. I have finally been diagnosed with meniere disease. before i was diagnosed doctors just didnt know what to do with a teen with symptoms that didnt make since, so instead of really trying to help me, they either said i was faking to get out of school or they put me on meds that would counter act each other making me worse. id become a completely different person sometimes. this vid made me smile tho. thanks :)

  • @NikkiUploads Well, according to one of his early videos, he went to Argentina and didn't know it was a TB area.

  • This video is a good reminder that we weren't born with a spirit of fear and timidity but one of power and a sound mind.

  • Really really beautiful!!! Your words describe what people really feel when faced with illness and overcome it...thank you for sharing your talent with the world!

  • Thank you. :)

  • @ChristiaanVanVuuren Thank you Thank you Thank you. For the laughter, and for the real inspiration. You are an incredible person, and very wise. I have so much respect for you, I learn so much from you, and love to laugh at your awesome sense of humor :-)
