  • Scoots retired??? Isn't Scoots, Twigg Lyndons brother?

  • This is probably my favorite Dregs tune. First time I saw them was at My Father's Place on LI for the Industry Standard tour. I've seen Steve at least 45 times since, only missed a few gigs.

  • The only way I could be happier was if I got to work for the band. What a crappy job to have to go to work and listen to these guys play all night! And they get paid! Steve and the boys have had the same roadies for the last 25 years I've been going to their shows. How many bands could say that?

  • First times I saw the dregs was on the Unsung Heroes Tour in Long Island NY. Can't remember the name of the club but they kicked ass that night and the musicianship blew my mind away. I was into Zappa, Yes, Genesis, RTF, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Ponty so they fit in quite nicely with that group.

  • How many times have you seen the Dregs? I have seen all of their shows within 100 miles of my house since 1981, except 4 of them, when I was either too ill or out of town on vacation. Since I'm single again, being forced to go on vacation even though they were coming to play, won't ever happen again. Damn women!! Have no priorities!!!

  • @skok65 I remember that Show at San Jose State. I was Hooked on Steve Morse Playing Style. For Sure Good Times....

  • Amazing stuff. Never get sick of Morse's tone. He has hundreds of different sounds. He constantly switches things around, changing amps, mics, effects, pickups, etc. to achieve the sounds he likes. He's no one tone wonder like Eric Johnson, whom I love but becomes boring because of...his one-dimensionality (tonewise)

  • Good call chilli. I have been listening to most of the bands on your list since around 1982. I got to see The Dregs for free in a park in San Jose, Ca. Saw The Steve Morse band there for free, also. Good times. . .

  • Steve's longtime guitar tech, Scoots, retired not long ago, so Steve took on a new tech recently. Gotta be a cool job, especially now with Deep Purple touring constantly all over the world. Hectic, I'm sure, but rarely boring...except for the travelling.
