I've been on the fence with the 'n' word myself. Don't like to hear it or say it much. But the way u break it down makes it sound like they did to "nigger" the same thing that they did to the word "black". They twisted it into meaning something bad. Now it makes more sense to me why they didn't want Nas to title his album, Nigger. They don't mind us using the word in gangsta rap and degenerate shit like that but let us use it as a word of power to wake headz up and they wanna flip.
