At the age of 8, it was evident that God had a plan
for his life, for it was then that God impressed upon
him to gather some of his friends together and
began a church. He started out with two neighbors
as they began to hold services in his backyard.
Overwhelming in those services that it drew the
affection of everyone. People began to come and
listen from all over the city, as this group of young
people rendered praises unto the Lord.
As the crowd began to increase with both adults
and children, they then moved into his parents'
garage and from there to their home basement.

In December of 1990, he began his pastoral
ministry, The Prayer and Faith Outreach Ministries
Deliverance Center, on a full-time basis. The new
edifice was now located at 6905-07 South Halsted
where he presently holds all his worship services.
Prayer and Faith Outreach Ministries (The
Powerhouse in Englewood) is a part of Pilgrim
Assemblies International, where Pastor Hudson
serves as Jurisdictional Presbyter of the Rehoboth
Jurisdiction of Illinois.
Pastor Hudson has received much recognition for
his starring role on the successful NBC series
Amen as "Rev. Johnny." He has appeared on
several TV Talk Shows such as The Morton
Downey, Jr., Show; Common Ground; Sally Jesse
Raphael Show and many others. He has appeared
in several magazines such as Globe; The Enquirer;
People's Magazine; The Star; Sassy Magazine,
just to name a few. His first recording was released
in 1986, "Introducing William Hudson, Ill" and his
new CD Release in 1996.
And The Vision Continues
Pastor Hudson has preached in over 31 states in
America and continues to touch the world with the
Gospel. He is an eloquent speaker, delivering a
vibrant message of hope for all audiences.
He is a graduate of Northern Baptist Theological
Seminary. He is a true gift to the body of Christ,
called to "Unlock the new things of God
