  • What is the music? The knitting is marvellous, one has come to expect this kind of excellence from the Fair isle tradition. I only hope that I will one day when I am old and have time on my hands to learn it.

  • The music is Dario Marianelli, soundtrack from Pride & Prejudice (2005).

  • Beautiful outcome, but what about getting at the row-by-row work?

  • I'm considering digitizing the chart and putting that on my blog. Is that what you mean?

  • This is wonderful, I'm working on learning this style of knitting, do you by chance offer this pattern for sale?

    Beautiful

  • It's not really a pattern. I'm considering digitizing the chart and putting that on my blog. Would that help?

  • i screamed at the steek cutting but i'm ok now. beautiful work!

  • This is brilliant! I've watched it again and again. I've looked through your blog, but I wasn't able to find any chart. Have you decided to digitize it? I really want to attempt this pattern with a friend's family name, but I have no idea where to start. What size needles did you use? How did you know how to map out the uncial font so beautifully?

  • This has to be one of the best, most beautiful videos on knitting that I have seen. Stunning, thank you for posting it.

  • LOVE the music; LOVE the movie; LOVE Fair Isle Knitting; LOVE your video; AWESOME JOB. Thank you for sharing. Very inspiring! ;-).

  • I know! I saw the scissors and was like NOOOO!!!!!

Great job, BEAUTIFUL work of art, and so very inspirational. :) Thanks for sharing, it's wonderful watching your hands work the yarn like a human loom! I HAVE to learn how to do it, and after watching you I'm ready to try!

  • gasp its beatiful how long did it take you

  • pure beauty!!!!!!!!

  • Gorgeous! Oh, it always makes me catch my breath when someone cuts a steek. Very neat piece!

  • I've been knitting since I was four, and I'll not say how old I am now, but I still don't have enough courage to cut something I've knit.

However, I keep seeing all these great lusekofte (sp) patterns, so one day, I'm sure I'll tackle it.

  • i have not courage to do so at all .... in fact , I have never tried Fair Isle before cause i've just learnt how to knit . I have only tried to knit neckerchief only . But i'll try this later . ^^
