A new and improved version of my previous betta fish care and tips video.
Also something i didn't mention is water changing, change about 10-25 percent of the water weekly, look at your fish on a daily basis to make sure they are swimming around ok, and are normal and healthy. Some good tank mates for either males or females would be: Corydoras catfish, dwarf corys being the best as they only get to 1.5-2 inches and are great for smaller tanks, the other varieties are good if you have a larger tank, guppies, males or females, be carefull though as some Male bettas will think male guppies are enemies and might attack them, always have a backup plan incase yur fish dont get along, Neon tetras, glowlight tetras, harlequin rasboras, plecos(if you have a large tank) and mabey platies and mollies(more so if you have a female betta). Also i would reccomed getting a kh, gh, ph, ammonia, nitrite and nirtate test kits to monitor the levels in your own home.
Please enjoy this video, and NOTE that you might have to read the writing quite fast, lol.

  • I feed him freeze dried blood worms is that alright? By the way it is better than the first one!

  • @SuperVALERIES

As a treat freeze dried blood worms are ok, but pellets should form the staple diet :) Thanks :)

  • @Christa1969 agreed

  • Nice

  • Wow smart

  • I didn't know that I just bought a 30 gallon high tank for my betta

  • i used to have a 1 gallon bowl....now i have a 3 gallon tank with a filter and heater

  • Also do you know any other kinds of fish that would do well with a betta?

  • @Ingiequeen I've also heard that filters may cause to much current and possibly cause damage to the betta. Would that tetra whisper filter for my ten gallon cause any problems with current for the fish?

  • @shortkid2929

That sounds like a great combo :) Tetra make excellent filters. Just be sure to change the charcoal cartridge every month to 2 months. A heater is also definitely a good idea. For a 10 gallon tank you wouldn't need any bigger than a 20-25w heater :) Make sure to get a good brand too. Fluval are good.

  • @Ingiequeen I'm planning on getting a 1 betta and was wondering if it would be good to put him in a ten gallon tank with a whisper tetra filter?
