A 31-year-old Toledo man jumped from a second-story window late Monday morning to escape a fire in his home.
The fire was first reported at around 11 a.m. in the 700 block of Acton Drive in Toledo's south end.
Fire crews said the flames started in an attached garage and spread to the house. The house next door was also damaged.
Jamarr Hughley, who jumped from an upstairs window, injured his feet and ankles in the fall. He was transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center for treatment.
The Red Cross is helping both families with food, clothing, and shelter.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
