Oscar Brand and a very young Joni Mitchell when she was still known as Joan Anderson on Canadian TV circa 1965.
By the way, "Mitchell" came from Joni's marriage to the late Chuck Mitchell who played the part of Porky in the cult classic rite de passage "Porky's"...(true!)
Oscar also tells a very funny story about the Brothers Four and Dave Guard...
Any more recordings of Oscar Brand's television show, first on CTV, then CBC? Several fascinating performances there, way back, including The Weavers, long banned at home in the USA for supposedly being leftist during the panicking of the Red Scare era. It would be especially lovely to see their appearance on Oscar Brand's television show in the mid-60s when they were otherwise largely unseen and unheard.

Any chance of obtaining a clip of Oscar Brand's program when he brought up the Weavers, then long since banned in the USA because of perceived left-wing politics during the hysterical anti-leftism during the 1950s? Magnificent on Brand's part and for that matter the CBC (or might have been the CTV before he changed television network).

I believe this clip was from a TV show called "Let's Sing Out." It was a Canadian folk music show on the air in the mid 1960's.
