Not only was she a pioneer for women in sports, Donna De Varona was also a world record holder at the age of 13 and a two-time Olympic gold medalist. Before her work helping the passage of Title IX, and co-founding the Women's Sports Foundation, she was a young swimmer psyching out her competition at the 1964 Olympic Games.
