Cheyene Frontier Days - Wild Horse Race

This was the last event of the first day of Cheyene Frontier Days 2010. The horses were all wild (never riden) and teams of 3 had to "reel" them in on the 30 foot leader, saddle them, and ride a lap around the track all while avoiding the crazed bucking and straining and jumping from the angry horses. Pretty wild. Unfortunately I just missed the guy that got dragged down the dirt track for maybe 500' just before the "race" started. You can hear both the gunshot and cannon that surely helped to calm the nervous horses before the event. Hah!
