Motorcycle Crash! Low speed crash and burn in camp.

Ok, I was goofing off in camp on my V-strom, using it to deliver a big stump and I snagged my footpeg on my Dads helmet that was sitting on the ground. Since I was riding slow with my feet on the pegs, the top heavy load of me, luggage, and stump took me down. To top it off I am looking like a clown in my fleece long johns. Oh well, a humbling experience that I post here for your laughter.

look down... go down. Simple.

Everybody is at fault here. Your dad for leaving his helmet there, you for not knowing the room required for your motorcycle to get through and everybody around you watching who did nothing to remove the obstacle before you hit it or at least warn you that it was there long before you got to it.

@DJFireUSA I take most of the blame. I knew the helmet was there, I had allready ridden through there a couple of times. I thought I had the clearance seeing has how I had allready done it several times, but what do you know; a couple of inches to the right and I didnt make it. I have over 200,000 accident free miles, I know better. I was just lazy and showing off.

It's a vstrom, and the second you took it in the grass, it failed. Says alot

@molotovalva1 Hee hee go ahead and bash the strom. It has seen much more than grass, it was I who failed, not the bike. That being said its a fine bike for the price but I certainly don't think its perfect.

Remember the rules?

Easier said than done when you hit an unexpected obstacle :-)
