An Izzy Adventure: Izzy's daily walk

An around the block walk with Izzy our 11mth old Snowshoe cat. Normally a 10min walk with a cat this can take anywhere from 30mins to an hour..depending on how much fun we get up too! As you will see from this move clip of her daily walk. Inca our 2yr old dog always walks with us, she has been Izzy's walking buddy on every outing we have gone on.

Izzy has been carried out and about from 9wks of age, once she grew in body and confidence, she progressed to a mixture of walking on harness and carrying (cause cat walking can be slow sometimes..lol!).

I made the decision to socilise her well as she is an inside cat who is not spayed at present..the plan is to breed a litter of snowshoes off her when she gets older..as it is a very rare breed, that is simply lovely, gorgeous and full of character. My other three cats are spayed and neutered and they are allowed out, so i wanted Izzy to experience life outside..(as i would hate to be cooped up inside all day)..hence the regular walks, that i have to say she really really enjoys.

Izzy loves meeting people, climbing and playing with Inca, as you will see from this vid clip....so if you can spare the time please sit back and enjoy:)

@marafi thankyou. yes i am sure you could, to start with i carried Izzy out and about and she was tucked in my jumper with head poking out so she felt safe. then as she became more confident she started asking to walk so i let her do a bit of walking and then cuddled her. I had better add that when she was walked, i always took one of my dogs with her..i think she may have learnt a lot from doing this as well as my dogs are good role models. good luck:))

@plumwoodposse Yes i think i am know as the mad woman of Leyburn...i will be even mader when we start walking our pony with the dogs..lol! I was just walking and held the camera in one hand and Izzys lead in the other!
