Apple is good it's just way over priced and hyped up.. my PC cost 1200 to build, to the get similar specs in an Apple today (2 years later) it's double the price.

If you're gaming: Get a PC. Unless... oh, never mind. Just get a PC.
If you're doing audio/video/photos: Get a Mac. Nobody respond with anything about iLife. iLife sucks. I'm talking about using ProTools and Final Cut and Photoshop. That's what Macs are for.
Upgrades... I wish Apple would make a computer that cost less than $3000 that I could upgrade...
Also, Apple didn't used to be overpriced. They just didn't make low-end products. (Now they're overpriced. Damn it.)
