UTA Douglas DC-8-32-"Landing Highway"-1969

DC-8 fans, time for us to rejoice!

Of course, the highway landing is all special effects (1969 Style), and this was apparantley filmed on a taxiway at Le Bourget Field, painted to look like a highway.

GREAT take-off scene too, and not to be missed by any fan of "The Mighty 8". :-)

I would guess they filmed that on a runway or taxiway with lines painted to look like a highway. A lot cheaper than towing a DC-8.

I love the engine scream of older jets. The new ones are too quiet and soft. Needless to say I'm not a fan of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
