The Black Bengal Meat Co., a social entrepreneurial venture, was one of fourteen finalists in the University of Washington's Global Social Entrepreneurial Competition.
Their mission is to reverse poverty and malnutrition, beginning in two regions of Bangladesh, by creating new production and distribution systems for hygienically-dehydrated goat meat using respected local women and religious leaders. They have been mentored by Carol Sanford, author of The Responsible Business.
The Black Bengal Meat Company is currently seeking $28,000 in venture capital to fund the project that will provide a return on investment. For more information, contact Saif Ahmed at ahmed.saif@yahoo.com.
great idea! but the poor who care & grow the goat (which is the core of your model) need to get equal profit besides sustainable salary.
