Using shield rod and Alucard shield made this fight (or any) extremely easy, but of course it was much more rewarding winning without using that trick.

Try doing it without the lighting mail and the Musfune Kitanna! That's a challenge!

Man, had no idea about the lightning mail. I was just spamming mist form to avoid his attacks. Easiest way was to go between his legs whenever he'd do the lightning-attack and whack him until he'd stop there, while fleeing to the other side of the room out of the homing orbs' range. Took forever, I thought for a good while that he'd be immune or something unless I hit a weak point. =p
So was this the hardest boss in the game?
