  • ...and some luscious harmonies ! Nicely played by the YSO.

    It is so gratifying to me to hear a contemporary work as assured as this by the young American composer at the start of his career. Sure there are shades of Copland's sound-world, and the music is as complex as any of Ives' pieces, but Andres does have his own voice, and it is clear and direct. I've no doubt that we will hear a lot from him in the future. Would love to hear this played by a professional orchestra....
