  • I think it's a bit sad that he would be so bothered by 'piracy', in this day and age musicians should feel less of a need to commoditize the 'product' of music. Many new musicians are already moving away from a product model, garnering their fame through free distribution and making money hand over fist through performances and indeed, sales of their physical media. At least he clued in to the benefits in the end, maybe he'll be more receptive in the future!

  • sorry I gave the impression that he was disturbed. I actually do not know what he thought, I don't think he was very disturbed. I think I felt worse than he did . . .

  • your outfit is just the best.

  • I absolutely adore you Ms. Fabrizio! Your videos are so insightful about cultures and life. Such a refreshing channel!

  • I can't wait to see what happens when the Vietnamese musicians whose work you used catch wind of all this.

  • Margaret,

    You're a JOY.....:-)

  • a very happy accident for sure...Nolan's music sounds like something you'd hear in a galactic bar in the 24th century

  • @atree3 ahh, okay, that's understandable then. He saw the merits in the end, so it all was well either way!

  • Oh, how funny- Sounds like you charmed him properly!

  • This is a much better way to find out about the "accident" than through a DMCA filing ;^)

  • I prefer the idea of fair use which allows people

to get a little snippet and then ask for the whole

    piece.

The mashup artists have really been stymied

by some of the silliness of the old music

    business model.

  • That is funny!!! P.S. I really like Nolan's work too!! :-)
