Introducing the first track to Dream Theater's album "Octavarium". I plan to do the entire album with (hopefully) guitar, drums, and keyboard... eventually. All I can say is that it will take a while, considering school things.

I played keyboard and guitar, and a bot on drums. All of them were sightreads. I failed guitar pretty hard (I BLAME LAG AND STUFF). The second time played it on guitar I got 98%. I didn't do very well at the end on keyboard because of some impossible key combinations. Also I am not extremely used to an autostrum-type-thing which explains other mistakes. And Jordan Rudess is cool.

  • I'm actually currently charting the song Octavarium for drums/pro drums. It'll be going up with the drum project 3, if you'd like you can add guitar/keys or whatever else to it. Save you the trouble of beat syncing it and charting drums.

  • @B33b32010 That sounds great. :D

I shall discuss this with you further.

  • could you teach me how to get feedback with links cause iv never been able to find it

  • @izb3a5tzi Feedback is somewhere on Scorehero; I can PM you the link.

  • @Withamik My assumption is that accented notes are accompanied by another note to mark it as an accent. Either that or it's just a note with a different velocity.

  • @SUSAltd I'd like Phase Shift to just run off charts. I will get so sick of converting my entire library in EOF. I am also thinking if I do 5 lane, just find what the note is called and convert an event in the chart to whatever it's called.

  • @Withamik Well that's a shame, I use EOF. As far as I know, neither Feedback nor EOF can chart 5-lane drums; I think the only way to do so is by using a generic MIDI editor.

I do not know whether Phase Shift supports accents as I do not have GH drums (or any drums, for that matter), but my guess would be that it doesn't. I'd check a video featuring a GH drum chart in Phase Shift just to make sure, though.

  • How can drum charts be made such as the 5 lane kit. I hate EOF and love Feedback, is there any way to use the Feedback editor for 5 lane drums. And a question, does Phase Shift support accents because 5 lane drums would suck if there isn't accents lol.

  • @SUSAltd ok. good chart by the way

  • @campion95 Sorry, I plan to start releasing them when I've done a bit more.
