Have poor Ferril get stuck on the beam like I did or just have her follow you attacking, either way just ignore her and destroy the pumps to end it..

I love this part in the game. I managed to knockher off the tower once and she even stayed away fir quite a while. But it's actually a glitch. Plus I prefer to fight her head on.
