OUT NOW! ON iTUNES - http://bit.ly/q9FSYK

Caan is a 24-year-old singer/songwriter from Camden. He grew up making music influenced by jungle, hip-hop and garage with friends in bedroom studios around north London. Yes a few people do, but Caan was good at it.

You will have probably heard of his previous platinum selling band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool who's album came out last autumn to huge critical acclaim. But a lot has happened and changed and Caan's new project is a transition from this, a new artist, a talent in his own right.

He has been holed up for six months working on new material which certainly contain those elements of synthpop and electronica which made his name, but is also fleshed now with a wider range of influences, styles and genres - from drum and bass beats to garage rock - all underpinned with his soulful vocals.

It's no suprise his music is so disparate, it's in his blood; his grandfather played clarinet in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, his other grandfather played the Turkish oud.

His lyrics speak from the heart and soul. The debut single 'Now Hear This My Friends', due for release on Camouflage Recordings on 10th October, is a call to action, to society to stand up against oppression, to make a difference.

Caan might surprise you...
