The Blue Riders:
Ben Andrews guitars
Tim Jarvis drums and percussion
Hugh Feeley harmonicas
I finally got around to the request to get this clip to look a little better. It still a digital transfer from an old tape...what ya' gonna' do?
This clip is from the BBC session.
The Blue Riders:
Ben Andrews - guitars/vocals
Tim Jarvis - drums/percussion
Hugh Feeley - diatonic/chromatic harmonicas

The Blue Riders, an acoustic blues trio, were recorded in 1995, championed the East Coast Piedmont style of blues, a style of music first popularized by artists like Blind Boy Fuller, Rev. Gary Davis, Blind Willie McTell and Blind Blake and the first wave of the blues that came north to Chicago, Detroit and elsewhere. Thanks to the good people at the Smithsonian Institute.
The Blue Riders, video recorded live, in Virginia, U.S.A, in 1994.

  • nice job, why did you disable the ratings?

  • Got tired of negative ratings given, based solely upon the way the clip looks. It´s from an old VHS tape and the digital transfer just magnifies imperfections inherent in the original analog medium ...nothing I can do about that.

  • Great stuff guys! Tasteful and evocative trio work. Love the harp playing especially but the ensemble works beautifully together. What a long note on the vox near the end!

  • Very nicely done. These are talented guys and they are being true to their material.
