I'll give this a try. I'm using Logic Studio 8 though. I can only side chain one track to it, I think...So I'm going to use the carrier on the VST. Let's see if this works, shall we?

@MatTAFacT 5 months later i get cubase & do this tutorial . hahahXD
thx again

dope. now i gotta get cubase back
-
ok, reasonable^^

thx,
yeah yo are right. I know that it would be better with some more variation or even different tracks. But you know, the background track also takes it's time until it's done and we are a bit lazy :-)

the software is Cubase 5 with TAL Vocoder...
i think your vids are great - the only thing is, if you have to listen to the background music or whatever *all the time* it just gets boooring =/

what is this software plzzz...

Amazing beat and tutorial :D
is there a way of combining it with a midi channel or something to enable different pitches with the vocal?
i'm trying to robotise a vocal track and i followed the tutorial and it worked great, but i need to keep the pitches, thanks.

Yes, instead of the normal audio track for the carrier just use an instrument track and add a synth to create an own carrier or use a sample player and import our carrier file. Also route the instrument track to the vocoder group then and pan it left like shown in the video.

can your carrier and trigger files be loaded in ableton? i know ableton has a vocoder and i wanted to try this out in live 8.

It should work since the carrier is a standard wav file. But I don't know how your ableton vocoder works (if it can handle other carrier files or if it just uses an own carrier generator) Anyway you can still use the TAL vocoder cause it is free.
